The Greek-Catholic Community celebrates the Birthday of its Parish Priest, Rev. Archim. George Mifsud.

Today, 20th July, Rev. Archim. George Mifsud, parish priest of the Greek-Catholic church of Our Lady of Damascus, celebrates his 93rd birthday. On the occasion of his birthday, the Greek-Catholic community extends to him the best wishes for many more happy returns of the day. May God’s love and peace be with him always.

Yesterday, Sunday 19th July, after divine Liturgy, the community celebrated Fr George’s birthday one day in advance. During the drinks, the community had the opportunity to wish him the best of health and to thank him for the service he has rendered to the Greek-Catholic church in Malta and abroad.

Rev. Archim. George Mifsud has been parish priest since January of 2010. Under his guidance, the Greek-Catholic church in Valletta has remained faithful in its primary role – that of a Marian shrine and a unique place of prayer for all Christian denominations. Moreover, thanks to Fr George’s unabating efforts, the church has witnessed the realization of various artistic projects which go a long way in enhancing its Byzantine character.

Εις πολλά τα έτη, δέσποτα.
