On Sunday, 11th June, 2023, the traditional Corpus Christi procession, led by H.G. Mons. Charles J. Scicluna, Archbishop of Malta, passed in front of the Greek Catholic church of Our Lady of Damascus. This procession, which for the past years had been interrupted due to the Covid pandemic, left St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta and proceeded towards Merchants, Archbishop, and Republic Street. On behalf of the Greek Catholic community, parish priest Papàs Martin Zammit paid his respect to the Holy Sacrament, held by H.G. the Archbishop, incensing it and reverently bowing in front of it.
